Every year, U. S. colleges draw over 700,000 international students; almost 10,000 in San Diego! Many come eager to learn about American culture, but few are ever invited inside an American home. Most of them have never heard about Jesus Christ in a meaningful way. What an opportunity for extending love!
WHO DO WE SERVE AND HOW?
In response to God’s commands to welcome the stranger and love one another as we love ourselves, we host students and scholars for 3-5 days upon their arrival to San Diego and continue to be their friend during their time on campus, giving them a warm experience with the American Christian family; acting as their “family away from home.”
WHO JOINS IN OUR MINISTRY?
Our hosts are singles, couples and families from our congregation and local community. No matter what your life stage you can be a valued host and friend to a college student new to the United States.
HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
